Neuropsychological Assessment
Assessment
We offer brief and comprehensive assessments. A brief assessment is typically 1 day of testing with an appointment lasting about 3-4 hours. A comprehensive evaluation is a longer assessment with testing split over two days, about 7-8 hours of testing. The evaluation consists of clinical interview, collateral interview, record review, cognitive testing, scoring, writing and clinical conceptualization. Most clinical questions can be answered with a brief evaluation. Clinically complex cases or requests for accommodations are typically best served by a comprehensive evaluation. Results are are provided both in orally in session and through a written report.
Diagnostic Consult
A triage consult is offered to clarify clinical questions and determine the right assessment needed. You will fill out a few online questionnaires and provide collateral information (e.g., medical records, transcripts, past evaluation reports). You will then will meet with the doctor in-person or via telehealth for 90 minutes. In this appointment your clinician will explore your concerns and perform a comprehensive clinical interview. You be will provided with recommendations for assessment or treatment. Fees for initial consult can be used toward final assessment. If you decide to not pursue an assessment, a clinical note will be written describing results and recommendations that you can take to another provider.
Fees
We accept cash, check or credit card. Half of the fee will be due on the first day of testing, and the balance will be collected at the feedback session scheduled about 2-3 weeks later.
- $500 deposit is charged to secure your appointment
- $1000 Diagnostic Consult
- $3000 Brief Evaluation
- $6000 Comprehensive
Insurance
We provide a superbill with relevant codes that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. The only exception are for those who have Medicare or a case agreement through Medi-Cal. These services are generally covered completely.
