Next Steps Neuropsychology is an in-network with a few select insurance companies. Below are CPT codes for services and information needed to ask about out-of-network insurance benefits.

Neuropsychological Assessment

Assessment

We offer standard and comprehensive assessments.

  • A standard assessment is typically 1 day of testing with an appointment lasting about 3-4 hours.
  • A comprehensive evaluation is a longer assessment with testing split over two days, about 7-8 hours of testing.

Our evaluations consist of a clinical interview, collateral interview, record review, cognitive testing, scoring, writing, and clinical conceptualization. While the standard evaluation can answer most clinical questions, a comprehensive evaluation is typically best for clinically complex cases or requests for accommodations. Results are provided orally in session and in a written report.

Fees

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

  • A $300 deposit is required to reserve an intake appointment.
  • One-half of the estimated testing balance is required to reserve your testing appointment.
  • The remaining balance is due on the day of testing.

Evaluation Fees

  • $3,800 – Standard Neuropsychological Evaluation
  • $7,300 – Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation

Please note: Fees are subject to change and are typically adjusted in January of each year.

Using Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits

If you’d like to use your out-of-network insurance benefits, our billing team can take care of verifying your coverage for you. We’ll contact your insurance company directly to determine whether you’re eligible for reimbursement and give you an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket costs.

If your plan provides out-of-network benefits, we’ll submit claims on your behalf—so you’ll only need to cover your copay or any remaining balance. This means less upfront cost and less paperwork for you.

When you contact us, please have the following ready:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your insurance information
  • The insurance company’s phone number (usually on the back of your card)
  • Or simply upload a clear photo of your insurance card
